- Reactions and aftereffects
Various secondary symptoms may temporarily appear after treatment. Those symptoms, which are called "Men-gen" in Chinese Medicine, are considered positive effects; therefore, no cause for concern. Symptoms should abate as time passes.
- Treatment effects and frequencies
The earlier an acupuncture treatment is performed, the more successful the remediation. Severe symptoms may be alleviated by one session, but chronic symptoms may require an extensive treatment plan. Receiving one treatment per day is usually the most effective, but that depends on the symptoms. Sometimes one or two treatment sessions per week may be sufficient.
